Cruising the beach in 1978 (at least that is the year she has always thought it was) my, then 18 year old, daughter, to whom I had given the ring, had her hand out the window as they rode along. After a while, she noticed the ring was gone. She, and her friends, search up and down the beach, but never found it. She believed she lost it between Flagler Avenue and the Jetties. She has always searched for it since, as it pains her too have lost it, as it does me. The ring in the picture is a friend's from the class of 1955. The stone is black stone with a gold Indian head on the stone. There are celery stalks on either side of the ring, as I remember. I believe the initials MLM are engraved inside.
